Chick-fil-A Kildeer Hosts Chamber Event

On February 11th, Chick-fil-A Kildeer hosted a "Networking Before Hours" event through the Palatine Chamber of Commerce. It was a multi-chamber event joining with the Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce and the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce. More than 50 members attended from the three Chambers.

The restaurant provided Chamber members a wonderful buffet of many of their breakfast offerings including: Chick-fil-A Chick-n-Minis, Chick-fil-A Chicken Biscuits, Cinnamon clusters, Fruit & Yogurt, Thrive coffee, freshly squeezed lemonade, and iced tea.

The restaurant opened in Kildeer in the Fall of 2014. Owner/Operator Allen Ordeanu and his wife Delia Ordeanu have worked hard over the past year to get actively involved in the local community. Some of the events they have been involved in include: Serving as a major sponsor of the Long Grove Heritage 5K Run and 3K Walk, hosted by the Rotary Club of Long Grove, Kildeer, Hawthorn Woods; Sponsoring a one week WinShape Day Camp in Lake Zurich at Harvest Church; Partnering with the Home Depot in Lake Zurich to sponsor a Family Night each month with various craft projects; Story Time at the restaurant; Eat Mor Chikin Ride with City Limits Harley-Davidson; Dine & Drive; Lake Zurich Alpine Parade (The Number One Float); Cow Appreciation Day; Community Blood Drive with Heartland Blood Centers; Daddy Daughter Date Night; Breakfast with Santa; Leadercast with the Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce; and Several fund raising events with local schools, etc.

Mr. Ordeanu indicated he has a leadership program where he is investing in his leaders by helping them achieve their professional goals. For some of them, this is to become Chick-fil-A Owner/Operator or working for Chick-fil-A Inc. In just a little over one year, working with Mr. Ordeanu, one of their leaders, Austin Harrison, was accepted in the Chick-fil-A Leadership Development Program. He will start working for Chick-fil-A Inc. serving as Grand Opening Supervisor and Interim Manager. He will then follow Mr. Ordeanu's path of becoming an Owner/Operator. Mr. Ordeanu said that "helping Austin get into this program in such a short period of time, is one of his biggest accomplishment as an Owner/Operator."

The restaurant recently begun serving Fish for the Lenten Season. Every Monday, from 10:30 AM - 10:00 PM they have Buy One Get One Free Original Chick-fil-A Sandwich to all teachers and students with School ID. Every morning in February and March they are giving away a free Small Thrive Coffee to all of their guests until 10:30AM. Also, in May they will have the Chick-fil-A Food Truck in Palatine to serve approximate 2,000 sandwiches for free to Palatine residents in partnership with Palatine Park District.
