Attend Daily Herald Summer Camp Expo Sunday

Still trying to figure out what to do with the kids this summer?

The Daily Herald Summer Camp Expo Sunday, Feb. 21, offers a chance to check out a variety of day camp options for the kids in the Chicago area and also youth camps and family campgrounds for vacation in the four states bordering Lake Michigan.

The expo will be held in conjunction with a Chicago Wolves hockey game vs. the Charlotte Checkers. It will begin at 2 p.m. at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, an hour before the 3 p.m. game, and will continue through the second intermission.

Representatives of the camps will be on hand with information on what their programs have to offer. They'll also have interactive activities for kids.

Admission to the expo is free with your ticket to the game. Ticket prices range from $10 to $55, depending on seat location. Tickets are available at chicagowolves.com/campexpo or at the Allstate Arena box office.

The camps represented at the expo span a wide range of possibilities. Among them are Bulls and Bears camps at multiple locations, education and adventure camps run by the Elgin Academy, family camping in new sites built in the Forest Preserves of Cook County, camps for children with special needs, swimming at the Lattof YMCA in Des Plaines, horse camp in Wisconsin and nature camp in the Indiana Dunes.
