Coffaro, Hersey outscore Glenbrook South

Hersey junior Joe Coffaro scored a game-high 23 points to help the Huskies past visiting Glenbrook South 71-63 on Tuesday in a nonconference boys basketball matchup.

Kevin Starr (16 points) and Mark Milligan (12) also scored in double figures for the Huskies (11-11), who won for the fifth time in their last six games.

Jimmy Martinelli had 19 points to lead Glenbrook South (9-13), which also got 10 points from Matt Giannakopoulos.

Hersey resumes Mid-Suburban East play Friday with a 7:30 p.m. tipoff at Buffalo Grove.
