Foundation puts care of animals first

In response to Brien Comerford's letter "Thanks for helping pets" on Jan. 28: Thank you for recognizing the efforts of those who work to save the lives of animals.

I am proud to say that I have been a volunteer at The Buddy Foundation in Arlington Heights since the opening of the shelter's doors in 2008.

The Buddy Foundation is operated entirely by volunteers - with no paid staff. Meaning that every single cent of every donation directly benefits the animals.

The Buddy Foundation spares no expense for the treatment of the animals, and believes that every abused, abandoned and stray animal that crosses its threshold deserves the best quality of life they can afford them.

I could go on and on, instead I'll simply suggest that fellow cat and/or dog lovers experience the uniqueness of The Buddy Foundation for themselves by adopting, donating and/or volunteering.
