LIVE Bluegrass Music and Pancakes Feb. 7, at First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights

Sunday, February 7, First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights (FUMCAH; 1903 E. Euclid) will host its annual "Blue + Gold" service at 9:30AM, featuring bluegrass music from The Other Strings, followed by a pancake breakfast to benefit the church's participation in the Appalachia Service Project (ASP).

ASP is a Christian organization that brings volunteers and supplies to Central Appalachia (VA,WV, KY, TN, NC), to provide home repairs and construction to low-income families. FUMCAH has participated in the initiative for 44 years, sending groups of teens and adults each year. Funds donated at the pancake breakfast pay for the cost of travel, registration, and supplies necessary to make homes across Appalachia warmer, safer, and drier.

People who can't attend the breakfast but would like to support the cause may do so online at fumcah.com/youth/summer-youth-mission/asp-giving/. To inquire about participating in ASP with FUMCAH, please call 847-255-5112.
