Funeral services Saturday for former football star Miller

FULTON, Miss. (AP) - Funeral services for former football star Maikhail Miller are set for Saturday.

The 23-year-old from Fulton died in a traffic accident on Highway 78 near Holly Springs Saturday night. Marshall County Coroner James Anderson says Miller's SUV overturned, and he was thrown out.

WTVA-TV (http://bit.ly/20kSy46 ) reports visitation will be held Friday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the gym at the Itawamba Agricultural High School, his alma mater. He later signed with Ole Miss and stayed there two seasons before transferring to Murray State.

Miller had a standout season in 2013 was named to the Ohio Valley Conference All-Newcomer Team. He left football in 2014 saying he was burned out.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the high school.
