Ohio officials, ex-congressmen to speak for Kasich in Iowa

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Republican presidential candidate John Kasich's (KAY'-sik's) line-up of speakers at the Iowa caucuses includes a number of Ohio state officeholders and lawmakers, two conservative former congressmen and leaders in agriculture and manufacturing.

The Ohio governor's campaign released the names ahead of Monday's events.

Speakers include Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor, State Auditor Dave Yost and Ohio Senate President Keith Faber (FAY'-bur). Also speaking up for Kasich will be state Sens. Cliff Hite and Bob Peterson. The latter is a farmer and business owner and member of the Senate Agriculture Committee.

Dave Johnson, a business owner, state party leader and former head of the Ohio Manufacturers' Association is also on Kasich's list.

Two former congressmen also will promote Kasich to caucus-goers. They are Dan Burton of Indiana and Bob Walker of Pennsylvania.
