Lease renewed, hours to change for Wheeling Food Pantry

The Wheeling village board Monday approved a lease renewal for village property used by the Rotary Club for the Wheeling Food Pantry.

As of Feb. 1, hours of operation for the food pantry will change from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday to 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

Wheeling residents and families who have students who attend Wheeling schools can use the food pantry. People from outside the village can use the pantry once, and then are directed to food pantries in their area.

Located at 101 N. Wolf Road, the Wheeling Food Pantry serves about 100 families each week.
