Indoor carnival Saturday kicks off Elk Grove's 60th

The Community Character Coalition of Elk Grove is hosting the Carnival of Exceptional Character on Saturday, Jan. 30, with free family-friendly games and food.

The carnival is scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Elk Grove Park District Pavilion, 1000 Wellington Ave.

Carnival-style games and activities include Plinko, Bozo Buckets, Bocce ball, ring toss, bounce house and face painting.

The event is being held to kick off Elk Grove Village's 60th anniversary and the park district's 50th anniversary.
