Look for Huntley Radio at upcoming community events

In 2016, Huntley Community Radio will be making an even greater effort to get in front of the community we serve.

The first event this year is the Huntley Chamber of Commerce's "A Red Carpet Affair" at Sun City's Drendel Ballroom Saturday, Jan. 30. This event will be hosted by two of our radio stars "Sir William and the Duchess," and Huntley Community Radio will provide the music for the evening.

On March 5, Huntley Community Radio will be live at the 2016 Huntley Chamber Expo at the Huntley Park District. This is a showcase for local business. It will have a booth and also be interviewing the crowd and business owners.

On April 16, they will host the second annual Battle of the Bands at the Huntley Park District's Cosman Theater. They are looking for rock, heavy metal or alternative bands to participate. Each band puts $20 in to a pot and the winning band gets the pot. For details, contact Jeremy at (847) 791-0939 or jeremysoderstrom@gmail.com.

Huntley Community Radio has been invited as media representative to the McHenry County Conservation District's first "Congress: Shaping the Future of Conservation on McHenry County Public Lands the Next 50 Years." This event will be held on Saturday, Feb. 6, at the McHenry County College's Luecht Auditorium. Delegates will be representing multiple fields and disciplines including conservation, recreation, health and wellness, historical preservation, agriculture, government, business, service clubs, transportation and education. They will discuss critical issues of importance to conservation today. The event is open to the public, but seating is limited.
