Eastern Illinois edges Austin Peay in overtime 87-86

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Trae Anderson scored 20 points and A.J. Riley added 18, including the winning bucket just ahead of the buzzer, to lead Eastern Illinois to an 87-86 overtime win over Austin Peay on Saturday night.

Trailing by three with two minutes left in the extra period, Eastern Illinois (7-13, 4-4 Ohio Valley) got a layup from Riley followed by a pair of free throws to edge into an 85-84 lead before Josh Robinson's free throws put Austin Peay on top with five seconds remaining. Riley then got the driving layup at the other end to win it.

Cornell Johnston had 10 points for the Panthers, who controlled the glass 47-37.

Austin Peay (9-13, 2-5) trailed most of the game but stayed close, getting a layup from Josh Robinson with 17 seconds left to tie it at 75 and force OT.

Chris Horton led the Governors with 22 points and 15 rebounds. Robinson finished with 20 points.
