Donating blood is easy - and has perks
I read in a recent Daily Herald about Mr. George Serena who donated his 160th pint of blood at Lifesource. Good for him.
I made my 178th donation several weeks ago. Actually, about seven years ago. Lifesource informed me that my blood type made me a universal donor for plasma and that they can take once-a-month instead of the two-month wait for donating whole blood. I was a constant donor long before I hooked up with Lifesource.
I urge anyone who can to become a regular donor. Blood, plasma, platelets. It doesn't matter. It saves lives and don't forget the cookies and juice you get afterward.
