Making 'Magic'

Take the kids or grandkids to watch characters from "Frozen," "The Princess and the Frog," "Finding Nemo" and other beloved films in the touring skating show "Disney On Ice Celebrates 100 Years of Magic" at the Allstate Arena, 6920 N. Enjoy Paramount Theatre's revival of "Hairspray," the buoyant musical inspired by John Waters' 1988 cult film. Amelia Jo Parish stars as Tracy, a determined 1960s teen with a social conscience who lands a part on a popular teen dance show. The Paramount is at 23 E. Galena Blvd., Aurora. $41-$56. Winter fest
