Wyoming football team gets new Nike uniforms

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - The Wyoming football team will feature new Nike uniforms when the Cowboys take the field next fall.

The full "WYOMING" name will return to appear on the front of the home and road jerseys. The front of the jersey will include a crest piece at the base of the collar featuring Wyoming's bucking horse and rider logo.

The home brown jersey will feature a white and gold stripe on the sleeves and the white road jersey will feature a brown and gold stripe on the sleeves.

Helmets will have a wider brown and gold stripe down the middle. The Cowboys will continue to wear their distinctive white helmet with the bucking horse and rider logo in brown outlined in gold on both sides of the helmet.

Wyoming kicks off the 2016 season on Sept. 3 hosting Northern Illinois.
