Trieb, Calcagno lead Buffalo Grove past Wauconda

Jimmy Trieb (14 points) and Colin Calcagno (13) led the way as Buffalo Grove's boys basketball team earned a 54-45 victory over Wauconda on Friday in nonconference play.

Calcagno made three 3s, and Trieb scored 10 of his points in the fourth quarter, when the visiting Bison (7-11) outscored the Bulldogs 18-13.

Jarod Stonis scored 18 points, including three 3-pointers, for the host Bulldogs (5-10).

Maine West 53, Maine East 39: The visiting Warriors picked up their second Central Suburban North victory of the year, improving to 4-15 overall and 2-4 in the league.
