Man dies after fall through ice on central Indiana pond
FRANKLIN, Ind. (AP) - Authorities say a man died after falling through the ice on a central Indiana pond.
The Johnson County Sheriff's Department says investigators believe 43-year-old Brian Persinger of Greenwood went onto the ice to chase his dogs Tuesday night while visiting the construction site for his new home.
Deputies went to the site after Persinger's wife called saying he wasn't answering his phone and that his truck was at the construction site in a rural area a few miles northeast of Franklin. A deputy found footprints on the ice and police divers found Persinger's body in the pond.
