Culver's of Buffalo Grove named Business of the Year by Chamber of Commerce

Due to a continual stream of outstanding contributions it made to the local community in 2015, Culver's of Buffalo Grove has been named'Business of the Year' by the Buffalo Grove Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce.

For Culver's owner Kevin Weasler, who accepted the award Tuesday night, it's the second time his restaurant has earned the title - the first came in 2006. According to chamber executive director Roger Sosa, criteria for Business of Year includes community involvement, leadership and overall participation in assisting the chamber.

"In the past year, Culver's of Buffalo Grove has shown dedication as a member of the Chamber of Commerce, especially when one of the group's meetings lost its location," said Sosa. "Kevin really stepped up when we were in a tough spot, but then again, he always has. We needed a place to go for our networking meetings, and he selflessly opened up the restaurant early for us; that was a big deal."

In addition to providing the chamber with a meeting spot, Culver's of Buffalo Grove gave back to the community on several occasions. The restaurant is a regular vendor at Buffalo Grove Days, and Weasler often provides the chain's famous fresh frozen custard for the chamber's annual golf outing. Culver's also supported the annual charity softball game with donated hats for each team.

The Buffalo Grove Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce is made up of nearly 350 members. Sosa expressed his happiness to have Culver's on board as Weasler is a tremendous participant.
