Jones helps Arizona women snap skid against Colorado 63-52

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - LaBrittney Jones scored a season-high 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Arizona ended an 11-game losing streak against Colorado with a 63-52 win on Sunday.

Kennedy Leonard had eight points and Haley Smith seven in the third quarter as the Buffaloes, down 30-22 at the half, closed within 42-40 entering the fourth.

Twice the Buffaloes took a two-point lead but after Leonard's layup with 5:03 to play, Jones scored six points in a 10-0 run. Colorado had three turnovers and six misses before Alexis Robinson's layup at 1:17 cut Arizona's lead to 58-52.

Keyahndra Cannon made 3 of 4 free throws and Breanna Workman hit two in the last 1:12 to secure the win.

Cannon had 11 points and Workman 10 as Arizona (11-7, 2-4 Pac 12) made 9 of 10 free throws in the fourth.

Lauren Huggins hit five 3s for 15 points for Colorado (5-12, 0-6). Leonard added 12 and Smith 10.
