Chili cook-off for Hoffman Estates Citizens' Fire Academy

In partnership with the Hoffman Estates Fire Department, the Hoffman Estates Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association will host its first chili cook-off and silent auction fundraiser from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at Hoffman Estates village hall, 1900 Hassell Road.

Come help pick the winning firehouse chili recipe made by each station and shift at the Hoffman Estates Fire Department. The cost is $12 for adults; children 12 and under are free.

The silent auction will include a variety of items for bid, including Blackhawks and Cubs memorabilia and local entertainment and dining experiences.

All proceeds go toward equipment for the Hoffman Estates Citizens' Fire Academy.
