Jewel-Osco opens in Bensenville

A Jewel-Osco Fresh Market opened Tuesday near the corner of Grand Avenue and York Road in Bensenville.

The store features a Starbucks, a fresh-prepared sushi station, burrito bar, delicatessen cheese and wine, bakery, and a large selection of craft beer.

"This is a great day for Bensenville and something we have been working on for a long time," Village President Frank Soto said. "Attracting a top quality store with a history and reputation like Jewel-Osco illustrates all Bensenville has to offer."

The Jewel replaces a shuttered Dominick's store.
