Vapor Power International names new CEO

FRANKLIN PARK - Vapor Power International has named William Chambers as CEO and president.

He replaces Robert Forslund, who left to pursue other interests.

Chambers has been interim COO at Vapor Power for the past several months, according to Lee Vandermyde, chairman of the board, Prior to Vapor Power, Chambers held C-level leadership positions both nationally and internationally for both private and public companies, including Federal Signal and General Binding Corporation.

"Bill's experience in managing multiple plant operations and acquisition integration has assisted the company in making significant operating improvements at Precision Boiler," Vandermyde said. "Coupled with the existing management team, Bill's leadership will continue to propel Vapor Power and Precision Boilers as key suppliers within their respective markets and customers."
