Swim school, Kimmer's launch new ice cream flavor

Goldfish Swim School St. Charles and Kimmer's Ice Cream have announced a new collaboration.

Beginning Jan. 15, Kimmer's will be selling "Bubbles' Blue Bayou." This one-of-a-kind flavor features Kimmer's blue vanilla ice cream splashed with a teal frosting wave, loaded with sweet graham cracker Goldfish and studded with "under the sea" floral sprinkles.

"Bubbles' Blue Bayou" will be available Jan. 15 to Feb. 15 at Kimmer's St. Charles location, 1 W. Illinois St.

"Goldfish Swim School and Kimmer's Ice Cream are both family-focused businesses, and I think a partnership between us will help create a stronger St. Charles connection for our customers and potentially bring our names to new families.

"The ice cream flavor we have developed with Goldfish is super unique and delicious. We are really excited to start scooping it in St. Charles," says Kimberly Elam, owner of Kimmer's Ice Cream.

"At Goldfish, we are all about family fun, so we welcome the opportunity to work with a like-minded local business to create this fun, new flavor and we encourage our Goldfish families to make a trip to Kimmer's this month to give it a try," added Alex Tyler, owner of Goldfish Swim School St. Charles.

On Friday, Jan. 15, Kimmer's staff will be on-site during the Goldfish Swim School St. Charles Family Swim from 6:30 to 8 p.m. offering free samples of "Bubbles' Blue Bayou."

The event also will include an appearance by Bubbles the Goldfish, the official mascot of Goldfish Swim School and co-creator of this new ice cream flavor.
