Kind stranger helped avoid crisis

I'd like to say a huge "thank you" to the kind woman who helped me get my car into the driveway when it got stuck in the slushy snow the other evening.

After successfully inching my way home from Arlington Heights, as soon as I pulled in my drive, the wheels refused to move. And since I live on Wolf Road and my car was still partly in the street, the situation was dangerous and not merely inconvenient.

Just as panic was setting in, this woman showed up, dug some snow away from the tires and directed my movements forward and back until the wheels were free.

It's great to know that the "kindness of strangers" is still alive and well.

If you're reading this, kind stranger, thank you!
