St. Charles library offers 'Writing Your Memoir' Jan. 20

The St. Charles Public Library will host educational psychologist Dr. Linda Sasser as she presents "Writing Your Memoir" at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, in the library's Huntley Meeting Room, 1 S. Sixth Ave.

In this workshop, Dr. Sasser will explain what memoir is, how it differs from autobiography, the benefits of writing memoir, and its various formats and types. Writing memoir is a powerful way to stimulate your mind and memory. It has the added benefit of developing a legacy for your children and grandchildren to share your insights about your life.

Linda Sasser, who holds a Ph.D. in educational psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, brings more than 30 years of experience as a professional speaker, university professor, and workshop facilitator. She is a former education professor at Judson University in Elgin and Wheaton College, Wheaton.
