Cupcake store to open in Hoffman Estates

Sugarjones Inc., a Rockford-based cupcake and pastry bakery, will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Hoffman Estates location at noon Tuesday, Jan. 12, at 2632 N. Sutton Road in the village's Poplar Prairie Stone Crossing Shopping Center.

According to its website, the business began in 2008 as a small kitchen to test recipes for family and friends, and it opened its first storefront in December 2011.

In October 2013, Sugarjones Inc. opened a second location in Loves Park.
