Arlington Heights library gets 3D printer

The Arlington Heights Memorial Library now has a 3-D printer available for cardholders to use. Residents and cardholders can submit their design and have it printed on the new machine for a small fee, depending on the amount of plastic used. It may take up to two weeks for printing. The library is holding two programs on 3-D printing and computer-aided design in the next few weeks - at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 26 and 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 22. People can register for the programs or get more information on how to submit their design at http://www.ahml.info/3d.
