Elgin Boy Scout Troop 2 invites you to annual pancake breakfast

What has 150 dozen eggs, 120 pounds of sausage, 75 loaves of bread, 100 pounds of pancake mix and over 100 gallons of coffee, milk and a variety of juices?

It's time for Boy Scout Troop 2's annual all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast.

The menu includes sausage, a variety of eggs, French toast, fry bread, toast, and of course, pancakes! Two juices, coffee, tea and milk compliment the delicious food.

After 41 years of hosting the breakfast, you know the scout cooks have figured out how to get it right!

The breakfast will be 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 115 N. Spring St., Elgin. Tickets are $7, $5 for seniors, age 60 or older, or immediate family members for $25. Kids under age 5 eat free.

Members of a police, fire department or a branch of the armed services that show up in uniform are half price. Tickets are available at the door.

The troop also operates its large multi-module HO scale train layout during the event. Proceeds provide the troop with summer camp expenses and fund volunteer programs. For details, visit www.troop2.com.
