"Building Community by Embracing Diversity" was the theme for this year's World Peace Day Interfaith Prayer Service, which drew more than 100 people of various faiths Sunday afternoon to Wentz Concert Hall at North Central College in Naperville. "It's a public display of solidarity between faith communities to demonstrate that there's much more that we hold in common than what separates us," said Tom Cordaro, a staff member at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Naperville. Five injured in I-94 rollover crash near Lincolnshire

Five people were injured Sunday when an SUV rolled over on Interstate 94 near Lincolnshire, authorities said. All eastbound lanes were closed immediately after the single-vehicle crash at 2:36 p.m. near Route 22, according to Illinois State Police. On Sunday night, two lanes had been reopened and two were still closed. Full story.

Des Plaines to consider new camera security system

The Des Plaines City Council tonight will consider approval of a $98,313 contract to replace an analog video camera security system with a digital system. The current system is outdated technology and does not provide full video coverage of the police department, city hall, train station and Levee 50, Director of Information Technology Romeo Sora and Police Chief Bill Kushner said in a report. Fire investigators are seeking the cause of a fire that destroyed a Round Lake home Friday night. Inspectors continue to survey the badly damaged home on the 1500 block of South Amarias Drive, officials from the Greater Round Lake Fire Protection District said Sunday. Full story.
