Des Plaines Farmers Market donates to Community Foundation

On Nov. 30, the Des Plaines Farmers Market presented a check to Rosemary Argus, founder of The Des Plaines Community Foundation.

The Foundation is a 503C nonprofit organization and was selected to receive the money due to their efforts to improve the quality of life for the residents of Des Plaines.

The mission of the Des Plaines Community Foundation is to support the community programs of the Des Plaines Healthy Community Partnership by generating and distributing financial and community resources. The Foundation is comprised of volunteers with no paid employees and provides money to fund the following programs: Neighbors Helping Neighbors, Healthy Community, Healthy Youth, Intergenerational and Seasons of Service.
