Plum's late FTs lift Washington women over Colorado 76-74
BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Kelsey Plum, the nation's leading scorer, struggled from the field but hit two free throws with 13.5 seconds left to help Washington beat Colorado 76-74 on Saturday.
Alexis Robinson missed an open 3-pointer on Colorado's final possession and Jamee Swan was off the mark on her put-back attempt as time expired.
Plum, who entered averaging 28.1 points, was just 6-of-16 shooting and hit 6 of 6 free throws for 18 points.
Talia Walton and Chantel Osahor added 24 points apiece for Washington (11-2, 2-0 Pac-12). Osahor grabbed 11 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season.
Plum's layup with 5:21 left in the fourth quarter - her only made field goal of the second half - gave the Huskies a 68-67 lead.
Walton's hook shot pushed the Huskies' lead to 74-71 before Robinson's long 3 from the wing tied it at 74 with 57 seconds left.
Kennedy Leonard and Swan each scored 19 points for Colorado (5-7, 0-1).
