Learn about electricty at Great Lakes Naval Museum

Great Lakes Naval Museum will host an educational program called "Electricity: Open, Closed and Squishy Circuits," from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, in the museum's theater.

Students in the class will learn how to conduct electricity through a circuit by using closed and open electrical circuits, conductive materials and insulating materials. Visitors also will have an opportunity to design, engineer and test their own circuits using homemade dough.

The program is free and open to the public, and all craft supplies will be provided. Admission and parking also are free. For more information, call (847) 688-3154. The museum is located at 610 Farragut Ave., Great Lakes.
