The St. Charles Public Library will host "Contract Basics for Entrepreneurs and Stump the Attorney" from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, in the library's Huntley Meeting Room, 1 S. Sixth Ave.

Attorney Charles Wentworth will brief business owners on contract basics followed by a question-and-answer session with local mentors from the Fox Valley SCORE chapter.

Wentworth focuses his law practice on business, property, and appellate litigation. His clients include large and small companies, individuals, private equity groups, commercial and residential landlords and tenants, condominium associations, and contractors. He attended law school at the University of Utah where he was a legal-writing teaching assistant. Wentworth clerked for Chief Justice John Broderick of the New Hampshire Supreme Court before becoming a commercial litigation association at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Chicago. Wentworth joined Lofgren & Wentworth as a shareholder in 2013.
