Bahlmann, Vernon Hills bounce Mundelein

Becky Bahlmann had 14 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals, as Vernon Hills' girls basketball team pulled away from Mundelein to capture a 55-39 win in the Mundelein Holiday Tournament on Wednesday.

Dakiya Daniels added 11 points for the Cougars, who received 8 points apiece from Kayla Caudle and Dana Meline.

Vernon Hills will play Cary-Grove at 1:30 p.m. Saturday for the consolation championship.
