Pau Gasol given the game in New York off, and more to come this season

NEW YORK - Veteran big man Pau Gasol summed it up in one word and one long sigh.

After the Bulls' four-overtime loss Friday to the Detroit Pistons at the United Center, Gasol was asked whether he had experienced anything like that.

"Never," Gasol said before exhaling deeply.

Gasol, 35, played 48 minutes against the Pistons, so the Bulls gave him the game off Saturday against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. He didn't even travel with the team.
