Elgin's Ivy Academy accepting donations for Christmas Basket Fund

The board and staff of Elgin's Ivy Academy of Early Learning consider themselves and those they serve to be family. And family members take care of each other.

So when founder and executive director Amy Hitchinson and her team realized that four of the families for which Ivy Academy provides early learning and related services would not be having much of a celebration without assistance, they established the "Christmas Basket Fund" so staff members and other families could help.

Money and food items donated by staff, other client families and the general public will be used to provide each of the four families with a basket of foods, gift certificates and holiday spirit.

Donations may be dropped of during business hours at the front desk of Ivy Academy of Early Learning at 545 Hiawatha Drive, Elgin, IL 60120. Please call in advance if fresh produce will be part of your donation.
