Wheeling man pleads guilty to attempted burglary

A Wheeling man accused of entering homes to burglarize them in July pleaded guilty to charges, court records show.

In exchange for pleading guilty to two counts of residential burglary, Joseph Morelli, 26, was sentenced to 24 months of TASC probation and ordered to pay $634 in fines, according to court records.

TASC - Treatment Alternatives for Safe Communities - is an alternative to incarceration for nonviolent offenders with substance abuse problems, and treatment is a condition of the probation.
