Students can be peer jurors
OMNI Youth Services is looking for high school students to volunteer as peer jurors with local law enforcement agencies. Peer jurors will be part of a leadership program in which a panel of trained teenage jurors meet once a month to determine punishments for juvenile, first-time offenders. Typical offenses include curfew violations, disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, truancy, and possession of marijuana or alcohol. For more, call Catalina Gomez at (847) 353-1594.
