District 54 levy rises 0.08 percent

Schaumburg Township Elementary District 54's 2015 tax levy has been set at $169.3 million - a 0.8 percent increase over the 2014 levy, or equal to the rate of inflation.

District 54 continues to be debt-free and does not levy for long-term debt payments.

Though many local taxing bodies set their levies in December, just ahead of the Dec. 31 deadline, District 54 officials approved theirs in November.
