Hear Irish, Christmas favorites by Ragged Rascals at Norris Sunday

The Norris Cultural Arts Center's "Music in the Gallery" concert series continues at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, with local band The Ragged Rascals. They will perform a concert including traditional Irish music, plus Christmas favorites infused with an Irish flavor.

• For art lovers, especially those looking for artworks appropriate for holiday gift-giving, The Norris Gallery will host a special exhibit, "The Gift of Art," running through Jan. 10. The show will feature original paintings, drawings and limited-edition prints by three of the area's leading contemporary realist artists: Nick Freeman of St. Charles, Scott Harding of Warrenville, and Terry Walsh of Lombard. All work in the show will be available for purchase.

• Local artists Scott Harding and Terry Walsh will demonstrate their painting techniques from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. today in The Norris Gallery. Admission and parking are free.

The Norris Cultural Arts Center is at 1040 Dunham Road on the Norris campus between Dunham and Kirk roads, a half-mile north of Main Street (Route 64) on the east side of St. Charles.
