Join in '10-For-10' Shop Local event Wednesday in West Dundee

On Wednesday, Dec. 16 from 6-8 p.m., join in the "10-For-10" Shop Local event, supporting three independently owned business in downtown West Dundee: Emmett's Brewing Company, swell gallery and Honey Poo Poo's.

Residents and their friends are asked to meet up at a West Dundee business and spend at least $10 and, afterward, tell at least 10 friends about the place where they shopped or ate.

Participants have the opportunity to meet business owners and other area residents, all while supporting the local economy. The hope and expectation is that you will have a positive experience and come back to patronize these businesses again and again.

• Emmett's Brewing Company, 128 W. Main St.: Relax over dinner and/or enjoy some drinks, including their impressive selection of Emmett's very own handcrafted beer.

• swell gallery, 123½ W. Main St.: Find handmade gifts from over 25 local artists, including home decor, jewelry, organic bath and body products, photos of Dundee, and so much more, at the annual swell Holiday Market pop-up shop.

• Honey Poo Poo's, 92 W. Main St.: Festive hand-painted furniture, decor, ornaments and more await at this unique art shop, open year round.
