Doesn't God also care for mothers?

A "Your Views" letter dated Dec. 5 credits God if a pregnancy occurs as result of a rape. Although the author acknowledges "the father's (read rapist) sin," he completely ignores the plight of the woman who has been attacked and violated facing months of carrying a fetus that was not wanted nor created out of love. That version of God is completely misogynistic; few would acknowledge it as their concept of a deity.
