Ashley Reiser 24-point effort leads another Antioch victory
Ashley Reiser scored a game-high 24 points and dished out 8 assists, Kelly Johnson added a season-high 19 points, and Antioch's girls basketball team remained undefeated with a 70-49 nonconference win over host United Township on Saturday.
Amy Reiser had 13 points and 9 rebounds for the Sequoits, who improved to 12-0.
After a close first quarter, Antioch opened up the offense to take a double-digit lead into the half.
Antioch doesn't play again until Dec. 26 when it opens Lisle's Holiday Cage Classic with a 3:30 p.m. tipoff against Timothy Christian.
Stevenson 42, Lake Forest 28: The host Patriots won their sixth game in a row, as Ashley Richardson scored a game-high 17 points, including three 3-pointers.
Stevenson, which also received 7 points from Kiana Cencula, improved to 7-2 and 4-0 in the North Suburban Lake.
Lake Forest received 11 points from Maeve Summerville.
Wauconda 46, Glenbrook North 42: Katie Rossetti had 17 points, including a 3-pointer, and 6 rebounds, as the visiting Bulldogs picked up the nonconference win.
Corrina Vaughan scored 8 of her 11 points in the fourth quarter and added 3 steals for Wauconda (6-1). Mallory Carver came in off the bench and supplied a spark with 5 rebounds and 6 points.
Benet Academy 63, Vernon Hills 22: At Benet Academy, the Cougars dropped the tournament game to the defending Class 4A state champs.
It was the third loss in a row for Vernon Hills (5-6), which received 7 points from Kayla Caudle.
