Thompson sits out for unbeaten Warriors vs Celtics

BOSTON (AP) - Golden State guard Klay Thompson will sit out Friday night's game at Boston as the unbeaten Warriors try to win their 24th straight game this season.

Thompson rolled his ankle late in Tuesday night's victory over Indiana. He said this week he was not 100 percent back, and he did not participate in Friday morning's shootaround.

Thompson also missed the Nov. 14 game against Brooklyn, when the Warriors won in overtime.

Warriors interim coach Luke Walton listed Stephen Curry and Ian Clark as the starting guards for the game. The defending NBA champions have won 27 in a row overall.
