St. Anne School raises nearly 1,000 donations in warm, fuzzy drive

The St. Anne Parish School community in Barrington collected nearly 1,000 donations for the schoolwide Operation Warm, Fuzzy and Fun campaign this year. The annual drive, now it its 15th year, netted 270 pajama sleepers, 260 stuffed animals, 200 toys and 200 books. The drive started in 2001 in one classroom and continues to grow - this year's collection exceeded last year's 800 donations collected. The donated items have been distributed to The Baby Closet PHD, St. Martin de Porres Women's Shelter, Freeport Pregnancy Center, Loyola Children's Cancer Center, Lurie Children's Hospital in Glenbrook.
