Buffalo Grove resident starts petition to end Dist. 21 crossing guard dispute

Next week will be the last time this school year that students in the Buffalo Grove portions of Wheeling Township Elementary District 21 will have crossing guards to help them navigate busy intersections to and from classes. Because of a long-running disagreement between village and District 21 leaders, crossing guards will not longer be provided near the schools after winter break. Full story.

Kane extends streak to 24 games, but Hawks fall to Preds 5-1

Cutler's brother-in-law found dead

A body believed to be that of Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler's brother-in-law has been discovered in southern Utah, nearly two weeks after his car was found abandoned, authorities said yesterday. The Grand County sheriff's office said crews yesterday discovered the remains believed to be those of Michael Cavallari in a steep and rocky area. Full story.
