5 from Arkansas State named to All-Sun Belt first team

JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - Sun Belt Conference football champion Arkansas State has placed five players on the All-Sun Belt first team as voted by coaches.

The conference coaches vote was announced Wednesday. Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own players.

ASU offensive linemen Jemar Clark and Colton Jackson, defensive end Ja'Von Rolland-Jones, defensive back Rocky Hayes and senior all-purpose specialist J.D. McKissic were voted onto the first team.

Arkansas State finished the regular season 9-3 and won the conference title with an 8-0 record. The Red Wolves will play Louisiana Tech in the New Orleans Bowl on Dec. 19.
