Consolidated Distribution consolidates, expands with new facility

LOMBARD - Consolidated Distribution Corp. has signed a lease for two warehouses at RidgePort Logistics Center in Wilmington.

CDC will consolidate its five existing ambient and frozen Midwest warehouses at the new location. CDC plans to move into the new warehouse supercenter by the end of 2015, and will lease a total of 398,740 square feet initially.

With the relocation to Wilmington, CDC will add services for refrigerated products, in addition to ambient and frozen. Both buildings will have rail service and 40-foot ceiling heights. CDC has the ability to expand the size of each building as needed.

"We are pleased to be able to add refrigerated products to our services - something many of our customers have asked for," said CEO J. Mitchell Rader. "By expanding our services and creating our warehouse supercenter, we are making a commitment to continually serve our customers with the highest level of customer service possible."

CDC is a food service supply chain company serving the fast-casual, quick-serve and casual dining restaurant industry.
