Lavelle Law Expands Securities Law Practice Group

Christopher Williams, an attorney with extensive experience in securities law has joined Lavelle Law, Ltd. in Palatine. Williams comes to Lavelle Law after working as an Examiner with the Department of Trading and Financial Compliance Examinations at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in Chicago. Williams had previously served as an Investigator in the Department of Equity and Trading Regulation at the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE).

A graduate of Marquette University and the Loyola University Chicago School of Law, Williams expects to work closely with corporate clients who undergo regulatory review. "Over the last five years I have seen firsthand the types of errors that occur in regulatory filings and in areas of compliance," Williams said. "Our goal at Lavelle Law will be to work closely with corporations and advisors to ensure our clients are in compliance with all pertinent rules, file forms accurately and on time, and to represent them during onsite regulatory visits or when necessary as issues arise."
