Des Plaines Residents: Be the Next New Business Success Story

Have you always dreamed of starting your own business? The Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce wants to support you in achieving your goal! The Des Plaines Chamber is seeking residents of the City of Des Plaines who are interested in opening a business to participate in the Entrepreneur's Boot Camp. An informational session will be held at the Des Plaines Public Library on February 3, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. The purpose of the program is to not only recruit new businesses, but to ensure business success through education, mentoring and networking, all of which are features of the Entrepreneur Boot Camp program.

"Des Plaines is a great place for business. We want to create a strong business community with educated entrepreneurs. We see our program as removing some of the barriers to opening a business," said Barbara Ryan, Executive Director of the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce.

The Entrepreneur's Boot Camp will be 8 sessions, starting Feb. 10 and continuing each consecutive Wednesday from 7 - 9 p.m. at the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce office, located at 1401 Oakton Street, Des Plaines. Classes will include topics such as: How to Write A Business Plan, Financing your Business, Legal Issues, Accounting/Insurance, Marketing/Social Media and more.

There is no charge for the program, which is only open to residents of Des Plaines. It is presented by the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Rivers Casino.
