Brust, Garbett help Grayslake Central past Prairie Ridge

Grayslake Central junior forward Lindsay Brust scored a game-high 14 points and guard Quin Garbett had 12 to help the Rams past Prairie Ridge 51-35 on Tuesday in Fox Valley Conference play.

The Rams hit the Wolves with an 18-point second quarter on the way to grabbing a 29-20 halftime lead.

Amanda Larson had 9 points on three 3-pointers for Grayslake Central (4-4, 2-0). The Rams held Prairie Ridge without a single 3.

Grant 40, Dundee-Crown 37 (OT): Jasmine Sangster sank 4 of 4 free throws in overtime, finishing with 14 points, as the visiting Bulldogs prevailed in the nonconference game.

It was the sixth win in a row for Grant (6-2), which also received 9 points from Taylor Drake.

Libertyville 61, Lake Forest 38: A balanced scoring effort helped the Wildcats past the Scouts in North Suburban Lake play.

Claire Keefe led the way with 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Caroline Frea contributed 14 points and 10 rebounds.

They were the only players to score in double figures, but a total of 10 players scored.

"We had great production from our bench tonight," said Libertyville coach Greg Pedersen.

Maggie O'Sullivan finished with 6 points, on a pair of 3s, for visiting Libertyville (3-5, 2-0).

Stevenson 48, Lake Zurich 42: Senior forward Jessica Burke made three 3-pointers in the third quarter, when the visiting Patriots took control with a 15-point total in NSC Lake action.

Burke finished with a game-high 15 points for the Pats (6-2, 3-0). Ashley Richardson finished with 11 and Klaire Steffens had 10.

Sophomore forward McKenna Zobel paced Lake Zurich (3-5, 1-1) with 13 points.

Vernon Hills 53, Round Lake 18: Freshman forward Kayla Caudle came up with a game-high 12 points as the host Cougars rolled in NSC Prairie play.

Sarah Demas and Piper Bedell both had 7 points for Vernon Hills (5-3, 1-2).

Allie Ramirez paced the Panthers (1-7, 0-3) with 5 points.

Grayslake North 64, Woodstock 62: Sidney Lovitsch scored 18 points to lead the Knights, whose Fox Valley Fox win snapped a three-game losing streak.

Grayslake North (5-3, 1-2) also received 12 points apiece from Brandi Thibeaux and Abbey Stinner. Abby Rice had 9 points for the Knights.
